I am Steve Griffiths and 'Notebook' is a nickname which seems to have stuck over the years!

I am passionate about the craft of making music, and I love guitars!

There is nothing more rewarding than bringing a silent instrument back to life and making great sounds once again!

We can help

We can re-string and setup your guitar to get it sounding amazing again! Our standard service will look at neck relief, nut slot depth, bridge saddle position and fret condition to ensure the action and intonation are the best they can be.

We can advise on setup, service, and repairs to all types of guitar; acoustic, electric & hybrid, 6 string, 12 string & bass. At every stage of a repair you will be consulted to ensure your pride and joy returns to you in the best condition, and just as you have requested!

Where all the fun happens

Our workshop is at my home in Hatfield Hertfordshire. I was proud to spend the summer of 2024 building a purpose built workshop that is designed to specifically cater for my enthusiasm to get those silent guitars singing again!
